Dallas, Texas / Canberra, Australia -- October 23, 2008
OTA Training LLC, the global leader in hands-on, vendor-neutral RFID training and certification has announced an additional training location in Melbourne, Australia. This training comes two months after the opening of their Australasia office in Canberra. The training is set to be held November 17-20 and will include hands-on training on some of the industry’s leading RFID equipment.
Attendees will have the option of taking the CompTIA® RFID+™ exam on site and becoming CompTIA RFID+ Certified. The certification is an international, vendor-neutral credential that recognizes a technician's ability to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the hardware and software necessary to an RFID implementation.
“The success of any professional certification is determined in large part by the commitment and support it receives from leading organizations in the industry,” said Henry Louey, Regional Director of the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) in Australia. “We are extremely pleased with the support we’ve received from OTA in bringing training for CompTIA RFID+ Certification to IT professionals throughout the region.”
OTA’s training is thought by many to be essential in implementing RFID technology, helping companies reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve information flow between them and their trading partners. Once again OTA will be leading the way in RFID education and awareness and will be among the first to offer RFID+ training in the country.
"We're excited to be a part of the bourgeoning RFID market in Australia," said OTA CEO and Founder, Robert Sabella. "In many ways the opportunity mirrors that of the US where we've had great success teaching students how to achieve desired results in RFID implementations. But each country is unique in their needs, industries served and experience levels, and Australia is no different. This is a challenge that we're really looking forward to."
With RFID training interest spreading north from Australia into places like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and China, the upcoming Melbourne class is expected to fill up quickly.
