The first five people in the EU to be CompTIA RFID+™ certified have completed the UK’s first accelerated learning course for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, run by The Training Camp in partnership with OTA Training, LLC., a recognized leader in the development and delivery of RFID training.
OTA’s comprehensive vendor neutral RFID courses help students gain the confidence and technical expertise they need in implementing RFID and if desired, get CompTIA RFID+™ Certification. The inaugural RFID+ class, which included students from food production and consultancy backgrounds, achieved a pass rate of 100%.
Held in the UK, the RFID+ course instructs students in the installation, configuration and maintenance of RFID hardware and software. The course includes topics such as: interrogation zone basics, testing and troubleshooting, standards and regulations, tag knowledge, design selection, site analysis, RF physics, and RFID peripherals.
One of the students, Richard Warner, is a freelance IT consultant looking to add another skill to his skill set. “By passing the RFID+ qualification, I’ve been able to gain some practical experience before looking more into developing solutions that interface RFID technology with business infrastructure.“, he commented.
