Flowery Branch, GA -- April 25, 2006

Leading RFID label manufacturer Avery Dennison is doling out thousands of dollars in educational scholarships to help transform today’s RFID end-user community. The ultimate goal: To empower end-users with the skills they need to get on the path to full-scale RFID implementation.

Avery Dennison joins forces with OTA Training, the leading comprehensive vendor-neutral RFID industry educator, to help end-users gain the confidence and technical expertise they need to implement RFID and if desired, move toward CompTIA RFID+ certification. At Avery Dennison’s state of the art RFID testing and training center just outside of Atlanta, students enrolled in A System’s Approach to RFID Implementation™ will learn RFID skills that they can apply throughout their company.

More than ever, today’s Fortune 1,000 companies need to know how to implement and profit from RFID, whether they’re meeting Wal-Mart directives or trying to gather data to improve real-time operations. CIO’s, warehouse managers and IT staffs are in the hot seat, expected to master a once arcane technology destined to surpass older formats.

“Once again Avery Dennison has taken a leadership position in supporting, proliferating and growing the RFID market”, said Stan Drobac, vice president of Avery’s RFID Division. “Our partnership with OTA and the scholarships that we are providing are a testament to our commitment to the end-user community that Avery is there to help. And we are putting our money behind it to prove it.”

Under the direction of OTA’s top-notch RFID professionals, students will receive practical, hands-on, vendor neutral training at Avery Dennison’s fully equipped training center. Using OTA’s unique E3 Learning System™ students will learn in a real-world environment how tags and readers respond in various settings. As an added bonus, attendees enrolled in the Avery Dennison’s - OTA Training sessions will receive COMPLIMENTARY TAGS, and be allowed to bring in their own SKUs for live product testing, gaining first hand knowledge of how RFID is applied to their products.

“The combination of OTA’s proven E3 Learning System™ coupled with Avery’s RFID tag and testing offer is sure to be a winner with end-users around the world”, said Robert Sabella, founder and president of OTA Training. “OTA is very pleased to be a part of such a far reaching and forward thinking approach to training.”
